E-commerce juggernaut Amazon is looking to hire a human resources (HR) professional with responsibility for payroll, administrative tasks and PeopleSoft oversight at its Lenexa, Kansas, facility.
Titled as a senior human resources assistant, this open position is described as “both a strategic and hands-on role” that services Amazon’s human resources infrastructure at its fulfillment centers, according to the job posting.
To qualify, candidates should possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, have earned a four-year degree and have at least three years’ experience in human resources.
Ideally, the candidate should be an outgoing multitasker who handles details well and understands PeopleSoft software.
As the public face for the HR team, this candidate should be comfortable interacting with employees regarding sensitive matters: a strong sense of confidentiality is a must.
This role will handle the new hire orientation process from start to finish -- including orientation, entering employees in the payroll system, reporting on scheduling and benefits to managers throughout the company, and more.
