Souvik Das has been appointed senior vice president of engineering at HR management company Zenefits.

“I joined Zenefits for three main reasons: it has a killer platform, the most modern tech stack in the industry and a very passionate team executing behind the scenes,” Das said. “These things in combination give us the opportunity to scale adoption across small and medium-sized businesses everywhere. I’m looking forward to leading this talented team of engineers as we redefine the future of HR cloud software.”

Das has more than two decades of experience in the areas of technology, operations and product development. He previously was senior VP engineering at Grand Rounds. Das has also held positions at Capital One, Netscape and PayPal.

“Souvik’s long and impressive track record has given him a unique perspective on how to build market-leading products that push the boundaries of innovation,” Zenefits CEO Jay Fulcher said. “His strength in building and managing high-performance engineering organizations will ensure that our engineering team continues to be world-class as we scale and accelerate the adoption and innovation of Zenefits’ People Platform.”
