Zenefits appoints Steinberg new chief people officer

Bringing the best of her previous experience with firms including Facebook, Beth Steinberg recently joined San Francisco’s Zenefits as chief people officer (CPO) to promote a positive workplace culture, develop talent strategy and lend leadership,

Steinberg, who will report to CEO Jay Fulcher in her new capacity, has not only served at high-profile firms in key capacities, but also has provided guidance to many clients through her own firm, Mensch Ventures. In addition to Facebook, she has worked at BrightRoll, Sunrun, Electronic Arts, Nike, Hewlett-Packard and Nordstrom.

Her signature firm, Mensch Ventures, sought to elevate company culture as a conduit to optimal business outcomes.

“Positive culture and the employee experience are the foundation for sustained growth and success,” Steinberg said. “Zenefits gives me an ideal platform to impact these issues not just for Zenefits employees, but for millions of employees across the nation.”

Steinberg joins a leadership team that includes Chief Operations Officer Jeff Carr, Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Marasco and product Senior Vice President Lisa Reeves, all experienced in HR and SaaS ventures.
