Vortex Companies issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.

To help support its continued expansion into a variety of trenchless product in service industries, The Vortex Companies recently announced the hiring of Tammy Love, a highly experienced human resource and labor relations professional, as its Director of Human Resources. “Our growth path has led us into some nontraditional areas in our industry that now requires more depth and breadth in the management of our existing employees and future recruits,” said Michael Vellano, CEO of the Vortex Companies. “Tammy has been hired to help us oversee our employee growth and put some new systems in place for their success.”

Ms. Love brings two decades of combined employee relations, compensation, workforce planning and recruitment management skills to Vortex. “Throughout my career I have had the privilege of working for large companies that required me to wear a lot of hats. I’m extremely excited to be able to take my knowledge and apply it here, with a company committed to the welfare of its employees in an industry that is constantly changing,” said Love.

“We believe Tammy’s prior experience in the industrial, energy and big box DYI retail businesses are a great fit,” added Matt Samford, CFO of Vortex. “The HR and labor relation demands in those industries are high and attention to detail is extremely important.”
