Human resources directors
are invited to the UCLA Extension Woodland Hills Center on March 21 for a free
workshop titled “Advanced Topics in Human Resources: Perspectives on Regulation,
Strategic HR, Recruitment/Talent & Culture and HIB Visas.”
“Human resource
management is dynamic and constantly changing,” UCLA Extension
Business, Management and Legal Programs Director Ing Phansavath said. “It is
important for HR practitioners to stay current and fully understand the updates
– some driven by changes in law and regulations, and some driven by overall
trends – in California and their respective industries.”
Foley & Mansfield
Partner Louis C. Klein will lead the workshop, with a panel comprising PIHRA
Woodland Hills Chair Karen Boublis, Wolfsdorf Rosenthal LLP Counsel
Allison-Clair Acker, TMP Worldwide Regional Vice President Christa Kassouny, and TDC
Consults’ Dana Mayhew.
Registration for the event is open and can be
completed online.
The program is a continuation of UCLA
Extension’s efforts to increase access for adults wishing to continue their
education and skill development, including a strong human resources program.
The Leadership Excellence and Development (LEAD) conference, hosted by HR.com,
recently ranked UCLA Extension’s Human Resources Certificate third out of 100
nominated programs.
