Paccar, the manufacturer behind the success of several well-known vehicle brand names including Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF, recently promoted longtime leader Harrie Schippers to the role of president and chief financial officer.

Having served as the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer since February, Schippers also held the position of senior vice president from April 2016 through January 2017. Previously he worked in an executive capacity for DAF Trucks.

Schippers graduated from Tilburg University in the Netherlands with a degree in economics and obtained his graduate degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2007.

“Harrie is an outstanding leader and has contributed towards Paccar’s excellent record of profitable growth including the recent introduction of the new DAF CF and XF trucks, which earned International Truck of the Year 2018 honors,” Paccar CEO Ron Armstrong said. “He also has responsibility for Paccar Parts, which has achieved record quarterly sales and pre-tax profits this year.”

Schippers will begin his new post at the company’s corporate headquarters, located in Bellevue, Washington.

Paccar designs, builds and services high quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks as well as diesel engines and truck parts. In addition, the company offers financial services and information technology.
