Searching for a leader to create and implement its in-house wellness program in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area, U.S. Xpress Inc. has an opening for a full-time corporate wellness manager with a health and exercise background.

U.S. Xpress is a transportation logistics business seeking a candidate with outstanding attention to detail, exceptional organizational ability and strong communications skills to function in a professional business environment with standard physical and administrative office skills. The position entails planning, organizing, and leading wellness, health and fitness programs in alignment with the Highway to Health (H2H) wellness program for U.S. Xpress. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health education or wellness or equivalent experience; plus at least three years of worksite experience in wellness or health promotion.

The wellness manager will ensure effective delivery of the H2H wellness program by creating a program built to minimize medical claims costs and improve health outcomes for employees, thus promoting a culture of health and wellness for the company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a budget, overseeing expenses and analyzing results; working with medical and pharmacy vendors to ensure vendor compliance; and staying informed of industry trends and regulations, integrating them into company practice.

Additionally, the manager will create specific topical programs and regular activities, maintain ongoing communication with both employees and management, and deliver regular strategic communications such as printed material and online postings.

The exempt salaried position has a pay grade of ES14; occasional travel may be required. No supervisory capacity is involved.
