Pharmacy benefit manager LDI Integrated Pharmacy Services recently welcomed new Chief Operations Officer Albert Thigpen, who brings over two decades of benefit management, retail experience and managed care expertise with a history of adding value via strategic development.

“Albert brings an incredible skillset that will improve our processes, strengthen our pharmacy operations and inspire the entire company,” CEO Len Dino said. “Albert is steeped in knowledge about all aspects of pharmacy benefits management (PBM) and is an outstanding addition to our team.”

Previously, Thigpen served Illinois-based Catamaran, specializing in PBM and medical records. A licensed pharmacist and an alumnus of Ohio’s University of Toledo, he also worked at CVS Caremark, HealthNet, Kaiser Foundation Health Plans and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

“LDI has built a reputation for taking great care of clients and plan members,” Thigpen said. “We will build on this 50-year legacy as we enhance PBM, mail order and specialty pharmacy operations across LDI, leveraging experienced people and actionable technology in innovative ways to drive transformational improvements in how pharmacy care is delivered.”

From its hub in St. Louis, LDI has served health insurers, administrators and other stakeholders for 50 years, offering specialty and mail order options, clinical programs and retail network.
