The Northern Lighthouse is hiring a human resources manager in Presque Isle, Maine.
Responsibilities of the full-time position include administering HR plans, recruiting new employees, conducting orientation for new employees, solving employee relations issues, implementing and updating the compensation program, maintaining department records, evaluating department initiatives, coordinating training for disciplining employees, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and conducting exit interviews.
Prospective candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, at least two years of experience in HR or related field, a positive and proactive approach to responsibilities and strong skills in the areas of communication, time management and customer service.
Applicants should be able to work 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment during standard business hours, work as part of a team, produce quality work and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. They should also be knowledgable on employment law, HR policies and best practices.
