Terranova Worldwide Corp. has appointed 30-year IT industry executive Roch Cousineau as the information security awareness and phishing simulation company’s chief revenue officer.

Terranova announced that following its recent $5 million capital injection by Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Cousineau will come on board to oversee the company’s strategic objectives.

“We are thrilled to welcome Roch to the team,” Terranova founder and CEO Lise Lapointe said in a news release.  “With his versatile background in sales, IT and cybersecurity, along with his uplifting energy, Roch will be an important contributor to our company’s growth.”

Lapointe believes Cousineau’s insight into the market will sharpen Terranova’s sales and marketing initiatives.

“As employees are increasingly becoming the most effective vector of attacks through social-engineering techniques, some of the IT security efforts and investment budgeted for technology-based solutions should shift to the people part of the equation,” Cousineau said in a statement. “At Terranova, we have the content, the framework and the platforms necessary to implement a truly impactful security awareness campaign.”

Cousineau holds a bachelor’s in computer science and a master’s in business demonstration.
