Ohio-based Swagelok Co., specializing in products and services for the fuel and power industries, has appointed William Canady as its new president and chief operations officer effective Oct. 2.

Canady earned a bachelor’s in business administration from Elmhurst College and a master’s in business administration from the University of Chicago. For his master’s degree, he focused on finance, accounting, marketing and strategic management. Canady brings a track record of systematic achievement of growth, product development and global coordination.

Most recently, Canady worked as president of the industrial products division for Hillenbrand. With almost three decades of experience in industrial management, strategy and development; manufacturing; operations; and sales and distribution, he will join Anton to implement Swagelok Co.’s long-term goals.

Based in Solon, Ohio, Swagelok Co. operates in over 70 nations worldwide with 200-plus sales and service centers. The firm manufactures and distributes goods serving the research, instrumentation, process, oil and gas, power, petrochemical, alternative fuels and semiconductor industries.
