Raw material processing and handling company SunCoke Energy is looking for a full-time human resources generalist in Illinois.
Duties of the position include leading the corporate college recruiting program, administering leave of absence programs, leading the company recognition program, resolving employee pay issues, leading employee engagement activities, managing the HR team budget, providing administrative oversight for employee communication during emergency events, conducting exit interviews, providing day-to-day HR guidance, managing HRIS data, proposing and implementing new HR policies, creating HR reports, and responding to employee questions.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; at least three years of HR experience or a master’s degree; strong communication, presentation, facilitation, prioritization, time management and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office software and HRIS systems; the ability to handle confidential information; and knowledge of HR practices and principles, and state and federal employment laws and regulations.
Preferred qualifications include proficiency with Ultimate Software HRIS.
