An experienced Human Resources representative with a college degree is sought by the State of Illinois to perform daily personnel services in Will County under the direction of management and also in a supervisory capacity.
Specific tasks for this full-time job include assigning and reviewing work; training and guiding staff; maintaining job description files; tracking job vacancies, creating new positions, reviewing ongoing positions; updating personnel seniority and organizational charts, and monitoring data to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
The position entails knowledge of Illinois state government and familiarity with regulations governing personnel, pay plans, collective bargaining, department policies and procedures and other rules. Additionally, the HR representative will handle court communications and conduct hearings as needed.
Qualified applicants will have the skills, intellectual aptitude and knowledge equivalent to a four-year college education plus one year of work in the field, preferably in HR; or demonstrated completion of a standard training program.
Salary range is $4,338-$6,591 monthly; work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The job site is at a correctional facility in Crest Hill, a city in Lockport Township.
