A nonprofit, social service organization in Los Angeles is seeking a full-time benefits specialist and caseworker.
The St. Joseph Center has a more than 40-year history of working with the needy in Venice, Santa Monica, Mar Vista and neighboring areas to arrange for housing, meals, education and other services.
As a benefits specialist in St. Joseph’s benefits advocacy services, you’ll act as a matchmaker between clients and state and federal benefits programs, determining which ones they qualify for and helping them manage their money as long as they receive support. You’ll be a liaison between the clients and various federal programs for veterans, retirees and low income.
If you’re well-versed in federal benefits programs, speak Spanish and English, have a college degree and one year of relevant experience, this job may be for you.
