Sound Mental Health
(SMH) will move its executive and administrative
teams from its Capitol Hill facilities in Seattle to a 17,000-square-foot facility at 640 Southcenter Blvd. in Tukwila.
Teams moving in July include Clinical, Information Technology, Finance, Human
Resources, and Marketing and Development.
SMH President and CEO
Patrick Evans and the board of directors made the decision in an effort to
expand the organization’s capacity for clinical treatment, as it will free up
space in the 11,000-square-foot Capitol Hill facility, which has faced
increasing space constraints and demand for treatment rooms.

“This decision was given careful and thoughtful consideration by our Board and leadership,” Evans said. “As new opportunities emerge in health care, SMH believes that a more central King County location offers strategic advantages. This move prepares us for expansion and growth outside of King County. At the same time, we are being responsive to the growing needs of our clients and clinical staff by making a significant amount of space available.”

The move will also place SMH leadership in a more strategic location to manage operations throughout the county.
