Red Robin taps Carmichael as executive vice president

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has appointed labor, employment attorney and human resources executive Beverly Carmichael as its executive vice president, chief people officer, culture and resource officer. 

In her new post, Carmichael will lead Red Robin’s HR and legal teams, reporting to the company’s president and CEO Denny Marie Post. 

“Beverly has demonstrated success translating business and operational objectives into aligned HR strategies,” Post said in a press release. “In addition to her leadership skills, Beverly is a passionate ‘culture ambassador’ and thought partner who embodies our company’s core values. Her talents will serve us well as we continue to grow our brand and ensure that guests and team members alike are better for being here.”

Carmichael’s 25 years of leadership experience includes serving as senior vice president and chief people officer for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. She has also served in several legal and human resources roles for Southwest Airlines and Ticketmaster.

Carmichael is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where she earned her Juris Doctorate and bachelor of business administration degree. She  serves on the board of the Women’s Foodservice Forum. 

Red Robin, founded in 1969, has over 560 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada.
