William Read, former chief financial officer of mobility systems manufacturer Harmar, has joined computer hardware company Abaco Systems as CFO.
Read will oversee Abaco’s financial transactions and functions such as accounting, compliance, tax, treasury, reporting, planning, analysis and risk management. He will also collaborate with the executive team to create growth strategies.
“Bill has significant experience developing and implementing corporate-wide strategies to drive growth, and I am confident that his passion and proven track record will help further strengthen Abaco’s competitive position as we continue to deliver innovative technology solutions to help serve our customers’ mission critical programs,” Abaco CEO Rich Sorelle said.
Read previously held senior financial roles at BBB Industries, Continental Motors and Teledyne Technologies.
He obtained a master’s degree in business administration from Belmont University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee.
Abaco is a Huntsville, Alabama-based company that offers open architecture computing and electronic systems for aerospace, defense and industrial applications.
