To empower firms searching for top talent, Cincinnati-based HCM provider Paycor recently scheduled its free “Make Your Next Hire Day” event to debut online Oct. 18.
The summit will run from 9:30 a.m. through 3:45 p.m. Eastern and consist of six individual 45-minute presentations on recruiting and hiring from top industry practitioners, including Bill Neese, who serves as Paycor’s own VP of talent acquisition.

In addition to offering continuing education credits, the event will share results of “My Greatest Hire,” a recent Paycor competition. Scheduled morning sessions are: 9:30-10:15 a.m.: “Who to Hire When Your Culture Stinks” with Kinetix Chief HR Officer Kris Dunn; 10:30-11:15 a.m.: “Recruiting: Effectively Marketing & Selling Your Company” with Strategic HR’s president Robin Throckmorton and talent acquisition lead Melissa Dern; 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: “Leveraging Data-Driven Talent Communities in a Recruitment-Marketing World” with Bill Neese, Paycor’s vice president of talent acquisition.
Afternoon sessions are: 1-1:45 p.m.: “Social Media & Background Screening: If It’s on the Internet, Isn’t It Fair Game” with Dawn Standerwick, ESR’s vice president of strategic growth; 2-2:45 p.m.: “Moneyball Recruiting: The Simple Science Behind Great Hiring” with Tim Sackett, president of HRU Technical Resources; and 3-3:45 p.m.: “Recruit Like a Pro” with Kim Giangrande, principal of Intuitive HR.
