Schaumburg is a community of more than 75,000 residents in Cook County located about 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. It was incorporated in 1956. Schaumburg operates under the council-manager form of government with an elected seven-member village board comprised of a village president and six trustees. Al Larson is currently the Schaumburg village president, while the six trustees are Marge Connelly, Hank Curcio, George Dunham, Frank Kozak, Mark Madej and Jack Sullivan.
