Noble Corp. has appointed Julie Robertson to the company’s board of directors, filling a vacancy that was created due to a retirement. 

Robertson has been with Noble and its subsidiaries for 38 years. Since 2006, she has been an executive vice president and since 1993 she has been a corporate secretary. She will retain both roles. Robertson is an alumna of the University of Texas and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard School of Business.

“Julie has built a distinguished career during her tenure at Noble and brings excellent industry knowledge and experience,” Noble Chairman, President and CEO David Williams said. “I am delighted with this addition to our board and look forward to her future contributions.”

Her tenure will run until the next shareholder vote at the annual general meeting in 2018.

Noble is a leading offshore drilling contractor in the oil and gas sector; it operates a versatile and advanced fleet of 28 offshore drilling units.
