Mountain States Employers Council (MSEC) continues to grow and reach greater heights, and its recent name change to Employers Council is a reflection of that.

The name change was sparked by the organization’s decision to serve areas beyond the Rocky Mountain region.

“While serving our members in Colorado, Arizona and Utah continues to be a key focus, our members operate and seek assistance in all 50 states,” Mike Severns, president and CEO of Employers Council, said. “Adopting the name Employers Council better reflects our goal of meeting the needs of the business community beyond the mountain state region.”

MSEC was developed in 1939 by Denver business leaders to address employment issues during the Great Depression. The organization now offers services to over 4,500 employers in more than 75 industries. Employers Council assists organizations in public, private and nonprofit sectors to develop a more effective workforce.

“We are positioned to continue delivering the highest-quality service to our member organizations as we continue to expand our footprint,” Severns said. “This is our second name change in our 78-year history and just as we changed our name in 1945 to reflect our expanded geographic scope, we do so again.”

Not only has the name changed, but Employers Council also has a new logo and a new website that will enable members to have access to valuable resources.
