Mohan named vice president of IT at American Airlines

Poonam Mohan has been promoted to vice president of information technology at American Airlines.

Mohan will be responsible for integrating the airline’s HR and payroll systems, as well as overseeing its passenger service system, operations research team, and the technical delivery of programs across a number of areas including finance, network planning, revenue accounting and revenue management.

Mohan has been with American Airlines for more than a decade. Her most recent role was managing director of flight operations and crew technology.

“With projects such as implementing critical new forecasting models and pricing tools for Revenue Management, and the first International Premium Economy product among U.S. carriers, Poonam has a proven track record for meticulous planning and delivering tremendous results,” American Airlines Chief Information Officer Maya Leibman said. “Poonam is a strong leader who asks insightful questions that quickly get to the heart of the matter. She is well known for creating strong relationships and is passionate about technology and how it can be used to enhance the customer and team member experience.”
