Marketing agency seeks HR generalist in Chicago

Brand activation agency Geometry Global is hiring a human resources generalist in Chicago.
Duties of the full-time position include assisting with recruitment efforts, posting job descriptions on career portals, processing reference checks and drug screens for potential employees, conducting orientation for new employees, maintaining HR records, informing staff members of HR polices and benefits, developing training projects, initiating team-building events, overseeing the performance management process, conducting exit interviews, dealing with employee concerns, and ensuring compliance with state and federal labor laws.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalent HR work experience; at least three years of a progressive track record in HR management; familiarity with Microsoft Office; strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; employee relations, organization development, performance management and recruitment expertise; knowledge of HR standards and employment laws; and the desire to expand their professional HR skills.
Applicants should be able to work as a team player and handle confidential information.
Preferred qualifications include SHRM-CP or PHR certification, and experience working with account management and creative talent.
