Bethesda Lutheran Communities, which helps individuals with developmental disabilities, seeks a human resources business partner in Plainfield, Illinois.

Duties of the full-time position include implementing HR strategic plans and objectives, conducting training of HR-related subject matter, administering termination paperwork, managing minor unemployment claims, assisting with employee relations issues, maintaining reports, and providing day-to-day assistance with HR functions such as performance management and interpretation of employment laws.

Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in HR management, business administration or related field; a current and valid driver’s license and good driving record; at least three years of progressive HR experience; and strong communication, interpersonal, project management, time management and problem-solving skills.

Applicants should be able to effectively work under pressure and travel overnight if needed.

Preferred qualifications include SHRM or HRCI certification.
