Lucid was recently named a recipient of the inaugural BambooHR Hero Awards.
The creators of two cloud-based visual productivity solutions, Lucidchart and Lucidpress, Lucid was recognized for its achievements in onboarding.
“We are honored to be a recipient of the BambooHR Hero Award,” Kat Judd, vice president of People Operations at Lucid, said in a press statement when the award was announced. “We have been working hard to optimize the onboarding experience here at Lucid so that employees feel at home the moment they walk through the door. The program has been completely revamped—we want it to celebrate the talented people joining our team.”
Judd recently spoke at greater length to HR Daily Wire about how the company achieved its goals and what she is excited about as Lucid continues to forge ahead into the future.
“We’re really excited to receive the BambooHR Hero Award for onboarding,” Judd said, talking about how a good presentation helps a startup to show what it has to offer.
Lucid’s onboarding resources focus on three areas. One is promoting a corporate culture that’s successful. Another is building relationships. The third involves offering new employees the resources that they need to thrive. By introducing a very deliberate path to getting a new hire into the fold, Lucid is helping companies to innovate in the realm of HR, according to Judd.
“You can spend a lot of time convincing possible recruits that you have a great company culture, but you can only make one first impression once they decide to join. It’s validating to have our onboarding program be recognized with such a high honor.”
