Lowe’s seeks a human resource generalist at its Rockford, Illinois distribution center.
Duties of the full-time position include interviewing potential employees, conducting new hire orientation classes, processing employee benefits, managing workers compensation claims, tracking performance reviews, updating payroll processes, responding to employee relations issues, and providing guidance on HR topics.
Prospective candidates must possess at least three years of HR experience in a generalist role; proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong communication and time management skills; the ability to work independently; knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations; and the ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in an HR-related field, PHR/SPHR certification, and experience in distribution or manufacturing environment with a large employee base.
