Louisiana-Pacific executive VP, CFO appointed to Harris Corporation Board

The Harris Corporation has appointed Louisiana-Pacific Corporation Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sallie Bailey to its board of directors.

Bailey, who also serves as a General Cable Corporation director, previously served as vice president and chief financial officer for Ferro Corporation. Over the past 10 years, she has also worked in several senior management positions with The Timken Company. While at Timken, Bailey’s last position was serving as senior vice president of finance and controller.

“Sallie is a tremendous addition to Harris’ Board of Directors,” William Brown, Harris chairman, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. 

“She is an accomplished executive with a strong business acumen and extensive experience in finance and accounting. We look forward to the many contributions she will bring to our board.”

Bailey is a graduate of Wellesley College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and German. She also holds a master’s degree in business with a concentration in accounting and finance from the University of Chicago.

Harris, a technology company, serves government and commercial customers in over 100 countries with a reported $6 billion in annual revenue. The company’s three business segments include communication systems, electronic systems, and space and intelligence systems.
