Early childhood foreign language education organization Language Stars is looking for a human resources generalist in Chicago.
Duties of the position include managing the full-cycle recruiting process for non-teaching roles, on-boarding and off-boarding employees, managing employee benefits, administering worker’s compensation, leading the performance management process, administering leaves of absences and disability claims, and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal laws.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in HR, communications, education or related field; at least one year HR experience; strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based Google applications; and knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
Applicants should be able to multi-task, self-direct projects and handle confidential information.
