Up-and-coming human resources students can break into the field via one of three summer internships at JobGiraffe in Chicago.
These part-time positions pay $10 an hour to start (advancing to $12 after the first month) and will give students a taste of procedures in a human resources department, from payroll and benefits to recruitment and workforce training.
After the internship ends, students will have a grasp of analyzing job applications and matching them to open positions, checking references and identifying appropriate candidates.
Requirements of the position include availability between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 (15 hours a week) between May and August.
