Insperity is seeking a human resources specialist to coordinate services and support performance management and client relationships for an advisory firm with over 30 years of trusted business guidance.

This position combines the best of interpersonal and analytical skills and will involve travel up to 30 percent of the time in the San Francisco Bay area. 

The HR specialist will cultivate relations with assigned clients to yield customer satisfaction, making recommendations for HR solutions, training and practices. He/she will keep abreast of regulatory compliance matters, oversee team relationships and deliver presentations as needed, maintaining appropriate documentation.

Responsibilities may include training in harassment and discrimination prevention, performance appraisal and development of internal policy manuals in addition to issuance of job descriptions, counseling and exit procedures.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration or a similar field, or the equivalent in work experience; and five to seven years’ background working in HR. Preferred certifications include Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR) and/or SHRM Certified Professional or Senior Professional (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SPC).

Applicants are expected to have competency in HR best practices with a focus on employee relations and full awareness of labor law at the federal, state and local levels. Knowledge of business practices and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs are both required.

Strong communications, presentation and customer service skills are necessary along with problem-solving, decision-making, time management skills and attention to detail; flexibility with both personnel and procedure is ideal, with the successful candidate exhibiting discretion and team rapport.
