The J.M. Smucker Co. is looking for an associate human resources leader in New Orleans.
Duties of the position include interviewing potential employees, designing strategies to attract and retain talent, coordinating community relations and employee appreciation events, handling employee and labor relation issues, providing HR advice, offering input on the effectiveness of HR programs and services, drafting communication materials, and assisting with audits.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of HR functional experience, experience working at a manufacturing site, experience with Microsoft tools and applications, experience with an HRIS system, and knowledge of HR processes, procedures, regulations and compliance requirements.
Preferred qualifications include HR experience within a large consumer products company and experience with labor unions.
