Amber Kennelly has been named chief human resources officer at global insurance brokerage Hub International.

“HUB is a very customer-centric, entrepreneurial organization,” Kennelly said. “I’m excited to support the employees that make that a reality. I’ll be focused on ensuring we are attracting, developing and retaining the right people and are supporting them with tools, resources and infrastructure so they can excel at their jobs.”

Kennelly previously served as vice president of compensation and benefits at Allstate Insurance Co. Her other past roles have included vice president of HR at Esurance, an assistant controller at LaSalle Partners, and an executive search consultant with Slayton Search Partners and A.T. Kearney.

“With a workforce naturally growing in its millennial population, attracting and retaining top talent is critical,” Hub International CEO and Board Chairman Martin Hughes said. “Amber’s success in human resources and the insurance industry, combined with her background as a CPA with an MBA, will help further elevate HUB’s human resources as a critical part of our overall business strategy.”
