HR generalist sought at Illinois baking company

Speciality bakery company Aryzta is looking for a human resources generalist in Alsip, Illinois.
Duties of the part-time position include managing core HR processes, performing open enrollment functions, assisting with employee benefits needs, monitoring employee performance improvement plans, processing payroll status change forms, developing strategies to reduce employee turnover, attending seminars, responding to insurance benefits inquires, and handling employee relations issues.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree; five years of progressive work experience in HR with a solid track record; at least two years of personnel management experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong communication, analytical, presentation, consulting, leadership and conflict resolution skills; and knowledge of HRIS software applications, payroll and benefits regulations, and employment laws and practices.
Applicants should be able to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Preferred qualifications include a degree in HR management, business administration, psychology, industrial relations or related field, or advanced certificates in HR management; PHR/SPHR certification; the ability to speak Spanish; and knowledge of ADP.
