HR generalist needed at building products manufacturer

CPG International, which manufactures building products for the residential, commercial and industrial markets, is hiring a human resource generalist in Skokie, Illinois.
The HR generalist will be responsible for leading orientation for new employees, maintaining employee-related databases, guiding management on HR-related matters, supporting employee perks initiatives, overseeing the employee recognition program, assisting with the monitoring of the company pay system and salary structure, spearheading projects that would solve current business problems, and building a positive employee relations culture and work environment.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience and education; more than five years of HR experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office; and strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and decision-making skills.
Applicants should be able to produce quality work while working at a sustained pace, quickly and accurately grasp information about various business disciplines, work as a team player, and be sensitive to other people’s needs.
A PHR certification is desirable.
