Phillip Taylor was recently appointed senior vice president and chief human resources officer of deep-cycle batteries manufacturer Trojan Battery.

Taylor, who has more than three decades of experience, will lead the company’s global workforce and develop corporate HR strategies across the areas of benefits, compensation, recruitment, organizational development and performance management.

Taylor was previously senior vice president of human resources for the commercial and corporate divisions of Mattel. Other roles he has held with the toy maker include senior vice president of human resources for corporate functions and talent acquisition, and vice president of human resources for international and global talent acquisition.

Taylor joined Mattel in 1993 when it acquired Fisher Price and helped integrate both businesses in Europe. Before Mattel, he was a production manager at Fisher Price.

“Phil’s extensive global experience in talent acquisition, leadership development and change management, as well as his experience in complex acquisition integration situations, will serve us well as Trojan continues to grow to become a billion-dollar global energy storage solutions provider,” Trojan Battery President and CEO Jeff Elder said.
