Good Shepherd Manor, a nonprofit residential facility for disabled men, is seeking a full-time human resources director to work at its campus in Momence, Illinois.
Duties of the position include recruiting department staff, conducting general orientation for new staff members, coordinating new employee job training, maintaining employee files, informing staff of benefit plans and policies, assisting with employee grievance investigations, implementing programs to recognize employees, assisting in retention programs development and providing input on safety awareness programs.
Prospective candidates must posses a bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, three years of experience in the HR field, strong communication and computer skills, previous supervisory experience, strong knowledge of labor relations laws and regulations and the ability to handle confidential information. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in HR and five years of HR experience.
