Mortgage lender New American Funding is looking for a human resources benefit assistant in Tustin, California.

Duties of the position include maintaining employee benefit files, participating in the renewal and open enrollment processes, assisting with benefit communications, administering leave of absences, advising on matters related to leave of absences such as eligibility and plan provisions, processing and approving benefit elections, processing 401(k) changes, performing audits, reconciling monthly carrier billing, and investigating benefit issues.

Prospective candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field, or equivalent business related experience; at least two years of HR or equivalent experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; strong communication and customer service skills; and knowledge of benefits and ADP.

Applicants should be able to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and handle confidential information.
