Larry Lyons, Hormel Foods senior vice president of human resources, will retire following a
nearly four-decade career with the company and three years in the senior vice
president position.
Lyons’s career with Hormel began in 1978 at the now-closed
Fort Dodge plant in Iowa, where he worked as an industrial engineering trainee.
He moved to the company’s corporate office in Austin, Minnesota, where
he first served as a compensation analyst and later as at the industrial
relations supervisor.
He moved to Hormel’s Beloit, Wisconsin, plant in 1988 where he worked for five
years as manager of personnel and purchasing before moving
back to the corporate office as the corporate manager of safety and
security. He advanced through the company’s human resources functions,
including being named director of human resources in 2006 and senior vice
president of human resources in 2014.
Hormel’s Bryan Farnsworth, senior vice president of supply chain, is also retiring. Farnsworth began his career at Hormel in 1981 and was named to his current role in 2014.
The company promoted Mark
Coffey, vice president of affiliated business units in refrigerated foods, to become vice president of supply chain. Mark Morey, former president of Hormel’s previous Farmer John
business, will take over Coffey’s position.

the years and wish each of them the best,” Hormel President and CEO
Jim Snee said. “In addition, I’d like to congratulate Mark Coffey and Mark
Morey on their new roles. We look forward to their leadership and expertise in
these areas.”
