Dublin-based Horizon Pharma, a firm dedicated to identifying and marketing treatments for unmet medical needs, recently welcomed seasoned talent acquisition manager Irina Konstantinovsky as its executive vice president and chief HR officer.

Previously, Konstantinovsky served as vice president of global talent at Baxter International and in leadership positions at Towers Watson. Additionally, she was an interim chief HR officer at Capital BlueCross.

She graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a bachelor’s degree in education; then earned a master’s degree from Cornell in higher education and industrial and labor relations.

“Horizon Pharma has a strong, patient-centered culture with passionate, committed employees at its core,” Konstantinovsky said. “I’m looking forward to helping build a world-class human resources function that continues to foster and develop these strengths.”

Konstantinovsky serves as a member of the board of directors of the Human Resource Management Association of Chicago. In her new position at Horizon, she will report directly to Chairman, President and CEO Timothy Walbert.

“Irina is an accomplished human resources professional with an excellent track record of attracting, developing and retaining talent as well as building an inclusive and engaging culture,” Walbert said.  “Her extensive experience will be critical as the company continues to grow and evolve.”
