Gusto has appointed the company’s first chief financial officer, naming Mike Dinsdale to the position.

“I am delighted to welcome Mike Dinsdale to Gusto as we ramp up for our next phase of growth,” Gusto CEO and co-founder Josh Reeves said in a press release. “Mike is a strategic CFO with a wealth of experience scaling companies. I look forward to working with Mike, a builder who thinks about the business holistically and consistently challenges the status quo. We are building Gusto for the long term and Mike will be enhancing an amazing foundation already in place today.”

Dinsdale background includes being named the Bay Area’s CFO of the Year in 2015 by the San Francisco Times.

“There are few companies that have been able to grow at the exceptional rate that Gusto has, while continuing to provide a product that customers love,” Dinsdale said in a statement. “I see this opportunity to help take them to the next level as the best job in the tech industry. I’m excited to join an amazing team with a mission-driven mindset.”

Gusto provides modern payroll benefits and HR platforms to over 40,000 small business throughout the U.S. The company has offices in San Francisco and Denver.
