Gac joins Valley Presbyterian Hospital as VP of human resources

Deborah Gac, a 35-year veteran of human resources operations
in hospitals, recently joined Valley Presbyterian Hospital as vice president of
human resources for the Van Nuys,
California, organization.
“Ms. Gac’s vast hospital experience in human resources will
provide strong support for our hospital,” Valley Presbyterian Hospital President
and CEO Gustavo Valdespino said. “We are pleased to welcome her to the team at
Valley Presbyterian Hospital.”
Gac earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at San
Diego University and her MBA at National University in San Diego. She has spent
more than three decades working in health care human resources departments,
including several roles at Scripps Health in San Diego and senior vice
president of human resources at City of Hope in Duarte. Most recently,
Gac was the director of human resources for Providence Health and Services.
At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, a 350-bed independent,
nonprofit and nonsectarian hospital that is one of the region’s largest for
acute care, Gac will oversee all human resources functions. This includes talent
acquisition, talent management, compensation, benefits and succession
management as well as learning and development, employee and labor relations,
process improvements and organizational development.
