Fraza issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.

Fraza, a material handling solutions provider based in southeastern Michigan, announces today the hiring of Renee Martek as its Vice President of Human Resources. In this new role for the company, Martek will work closely with current Human Resources staff to guide its efforts during a major growth period. With Fraza’s new branch, Vitan, the company has five locations spanning the lower peninsula of Michigan.

As the former Director of Talent Acquisition at La-Z-Boy, Inc., Martek brings with her over 20 years of experience in the selection and implementation of recruiting systems, tools and process improvements, delivery of employment strategy, championship of diversity and inclusion, oversight of relocation processes, and company-wide training and recruiting functions.

“With the Human Resources expertise I have gained throughout my career, and with Fraza’s continued growth, I believe I can implement employment strategies that will benefit the company for the long term,” Martek said. “Fraza is one of the most forward-thinking material handling solutions providers out there, and I’m excited to be able to drive initiatives forward by putting into place strategies for current employees and acquiring new talent.”

“When it comes to growing a company, business strategy and talent management go hand in hand,” said CEO Roger Runyan. “It is essential to Fraza’s future to have a progressive Human Resources leader who will create the foundation for an expanding team and company with aggressive growth plans. We know Renee will be a great asset to our team, and we’re so excited for her to get started.”

A Detroit native, Martek earned a Master’s of Science in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Organizational Administration from Central Michigan University.
