Helsinki, Finland-based KONE Corp. has named two new members to its board.

Susanne Skippari, who has worked for KONE since 2007, will replace Kerttu Tuomas on the escalator and elevator manufacturer’s executive board, serving as executive vice president of human resources. Skippari, a Nokia veteran, has a master’s from the Turku School of Economics

Tuomas, an employee since 2002, left her position on the board to focus on non-executive responsibilities. Tuomas will support Skippari through April 30, when she takes over.

Hugues

Delval has assumed the role of executive vice president of service business, replacing Pekka Kemppainen, who has worked for KONE for over three decades. Kemppainen will participate in the transition process until his retirement takes effect April 30.

Delval, who has a master’s degree in commercial engineering from HEC Brussels (ICHEC Business School), has over two decades’ experience with KONE, most recently overseeing the global maintenance business.

“Susanne has demonstrated a strong ability in identifying and developing talent in a fast changing environment,” Henrik Ehrnrooth, KONE’s CEO and president, said. “Hugues has a proven track record of developing and leading businesses based on customer needs and in bringing clarity to complex situations. Their capabilities and leadership are a great fit for driving the next phase of KONE’s strategy development, ‘Winning with Customers.’”
