The 2017 Hiring
Outlook: Strategies for Engaging With Today’s Talent and Improving the
Candidate Experience
has been released by The Execu|Search Group.

The
findings in the report resulted from a survey of more than 1,000 job seekers,
professionals and hiring managers.

“As the job market continues to evolve over the next
year, engaging with talent will become even more critical to an organization’s
success,” The Execu|Search Group Chairman and CEO Edward Fleischman said.
“With this in mind, employers need to embrace transparency during the
hiring process and in the workplace. They must also be aware that the candidate
profile is changing, especially in regards to millennial employees as they
progress from entry-level roles to management positions. To adapt to these
changes, we hope employers leverage our 2017 Hiring Outlook as a resource for
creating a unified culture that motivates all employees, focuses on career
development and facilitates a new model of leadership.”

The 2017 Hiring Outlook includes information on how employers
are having difficulty in hiring and retaining top talent. Half of the employees
surveyed indicated that they planned to move on within two years.

In addition, 75
percent of the employers reported that the hiring process took three or more
weeks while the professionals surveyed felt it should not take more than two
weeks. Professional development and advancement opportunities were also important
factors in hiring and retaining millennials and working professionals.
