An entry-level position as an HR assistant is available for a qualified applicant with GC Services St. Louis Verizon, located in Weldon Spring, Missouri, to provide clerical office support for the company’s HR department.
Either a high school diploma or a GED is acceptable; six months of previous HR work experience is a plus. Candidates must be proficient typists and should be familiar with Windows-based computer operating systems. The position involves answering phone calls; handling new hire interview scheduling, paperwork and files; fielding inquiries from existing employees, and maintaining data files for employee records and reports.
Applicants are expected to know basic work safety, be able to focus in a changeable environment and balance multiple tasks at the same time while maintaining a positive work atmosphere with peers and supervisors and modeling a professional demeanor. The successful candidate will be able to handle sensitive information discreetly, conform to company policy requirements and demonstrate flexibility.
The HR assistant will take notes at meetings, manage time well, meet deadlines and problem-solve as necessary, as well as exhibit adequate writing skills. The minimum pay rate is $12 per hour.
