Two of the world’s largest military-focused online networks, CareerBuilder and Rally Point, have recently partnered in a move that will bring together a network of hundreds of thousands of employers to connect with 1.4 million military members.

The companies have announced their new partnership, which they say is designed to help veterans quickly connect with top employers who are actively recruiting.

“The technical skills learned in the military are often a good fit for our country’s in demand, hard to fill positions, but there can be a disconnect between civilian employers and those with a military background,” CareerBuilder CEO and author of “The Talent Equation” Matt Ferguson said in a press release.

According to the RallyPoint and Career Builder, some of the top areas of employment recruitment of veterans are customer service, information technology, production, sales, accounting and finance, distribution and logistics, HR, business development, research and development, marketing, public relations, clinical and legal.

“This Veterans Day, companies of all sizes should take a hard look at their veteran hiring strategy to ensure it is a fit for the company’s and veterans’ long-term goals,” RallyPoint CEO and U.S. Army Veteran Dave Gowel said in a press release. “Hiring a vet who isn’t a fit or feels underemployed is frustrating for everyone involved.”
