Deltek Senior Vice President of Human Resources Ed Hutner has been named Year Up’s Peter Kuchli Urban Empowerment Award winner.

Year Up’s National Capital Region is a year-round workforce development program for low-income adult candidates, under which young talents get the opportunity to pursue internships with firms in areas including IT, customer care and marketing.

“This honor reflects Deltek’s commitment to an organization that provides our company with a talent-ready source of skilled individuals needed to compete in today’s high-tech environment,” Hutner said.

Deltek has been in a partnership with Year Up since 2010, driving fundraising, volunteering and mentoring opportunities to its core operations. Hutner has been one of the key players in elevating this connection for three years, with roles including leading the Year Up’s HR Roundtable in 2018.
