Atlanta-based DataPath, a provider of remote communications and IT services to various vital U.S. industry sectors, recently announced a double appointment: Carter Johnson to the position of chief finance officer and Brad Majeres as its premiere chief operations officer.

Johnson, a former U.S. Army officer, brings a strong background in aerospace and defense work. Previously, he was senior vice president for finance and contracts at Meggitt Training Systems, and held executive positions for Barco/Esterline Technologies, ChoicePoint/LexisNexis, and S1 Corp.

Majeres, who is experienced in the satellite field, will step in to a newly created position to facilitate the firm’s expansion in support of recent robust growth. He will oversee engineering, technology, information systems, supply chain, quality and logistics, and technical and customer services.

Majeres previously worked at ViaSat, General Dynamics, and Scientific Atlanta.

“Over the past three plus years DataPath has nearly doubled in size, launching four new product lines, and significantly expanding our services internationally,” President and CEO David Myers said. “To continue to support such rapid growth, we are positioning the company … with a renewed focus on the quality, scalability, and efficiency of our business. The addition of Carter and Brad’s expertise, and the new COO role, will help DataPath to improve how it supports the evolving mission needs of our growing and diversifying customer base.”

DataPath delivers solutions to the aerospace, broadcast, government, and critical infrastructure markets.
