Langley Federal Credit Union is seeking a motivated and passionate human resource professional to serve as a human resource generalist for its Newport News, Virginia location.
Langley’s human resource generalist position includes supporting the company’s HR functions by processing employee payrolls and employee data management, as well as working on regulatory and administrative duties.
The human resource generalist position also includes consulting with business partners and employees, working on Langley’s Human Capital plan and contributing to HR programs and services.
Applicants should have experience in employee payroll processing and regulations as well as have an understanding of federal and state laws and regulations such as EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADAA, ADEA and USERRA.The human resource generalist should also have the ability to interpret and apply guidelines, policies and employment labor laws and regulations. The position also requires handling highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner.
Education and experience required for the position include a bachelor degree in HR, business or related field or equal work training and experience. A minimum of three years experience working in a full cycle HR department and processing employee payrolls is also required.
Experience with financial institutions HR payroll function is preferred along with HRCI/SHRM certification or CPP.
