Corning needs HR generalist for headquarters position

Materials science manufacturer Corning is looking for a human resources generalist for its upstate New York headquarters.

Duties of the position include identifying talent requirements, deploying performance management and rewards processes/practices, identifying human capital priorities, leading HR projects and initiatives, overseeing employee communications, resolving employee relations issues, and ensuring legal compliance on HR practices.

Prospective candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in business, HR, labor relations, or organization development, or equivalent qualifications/experience; at least five years of HR experience; strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; comfortably working in a highly matrixed organization; and knowledge of employment laws and policies.

Preferred qualifications include strong Microsoft Office and project management skills.
